From April 6th until the 16th, the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino will play host to the Western New York Poker Challenge. The series will include eight events spread throughout the 11-day time frame. Players from across the United States are set to compete in the series, as it returns for 2018.
The first event of the WNYPC will be a $200 No Limit Hold’em tournament offering a $50k guarantee. Players will be provided 30,000 in starting chips with blinds set to increase every 30 minutes during the first four opening flights. Players have the option to re-enter the tournament and then bring their best stack along for the final day. On the last day of the event, blinds will increase every 40 minutes.
The Main Event of the series is set to offer two opening flights on the 13th and 14th. The $1,000 No Limit Hold’em event will have a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and is sure to draw a lot of attention from those in attendance. For this event, blinds will start in 40-minute increments and increase to 60 minutes on Day 2 and then 90 minutes during the final day, on April 16th.
The most lucrative event on the schedule is the Main Event of course, but players looking for lower buy-in events will find $120 No Limit Hold’em and $150 No Limit Hold’em events on the schedule.
