The gold bracelet that is usually awarded at the World Series of Poker events is considered one of the most important trophies in the world of poker. Whoever wins it can consider themselves a poker professional and top-of-the-class player. Winning a gold bracelet is not rare. For example, a total of 78 bracelets were awarded only in 2018 in Las Vegas, plus additional 10 as a part of WSOP Europe. However, there are poker players who did not manage to win this prestigious award, or they simply did not bother trying. Let’s do a quick recap of players who are considered the best at the game but don’t have a WSOP bracelet.
Dan Smith
With more than $25 million in live tournament cashes, Dan Smith is still without a bracelet. The closest he got to winning one when he finished a runner-up in the $111,111 High Roller for One Drop when he earned a total of $3.1 million. Nevertheless, he has managed to cover this with many other wins, such as WPT, EPT, Aria High Rollers, and more.
Steve O’Dwyer
O’Dwyer is currently ranked 11th on the all-time money list and has won a number of events, including APPT, PCA, EPT, and others. The closest he came to winning a bracelet is a WSOP Circuit ring. He has managed to earn more than $500,000 in WSOP events, but the bracelet is still to come.
Jason Koon
Koon had several fantastic performances in WSOP events and earned a total of $1.8 million at them, that make up a part of his $22 million earned on all tournaments. He had a fantastic year behind him with some fantastic finishes, but no bracelet among them. However, he still hopes and considers it a very possible scenario.
Isaac Haxton
Haxton has been playing WSOP events regularly since 2009 and has managed to earn an impressive amount of $2.9 million only in this type of events. His total earnings are at $19 million, which means that this player knows how to play big. A bracelet also seems possible for a player with so much experience, but the future is uncertain and we could only hope that he would win it someday.
Sam Trickett
Trickett has an amazing score of $11 millions in WSOP earnings. This is mainly due to the fact that he finished a runner-up in 2012 at $1 million Big One for One Drop and earned $10.1 million. He has a lot of experience playing at many different tournaments, and WSOP is just one of them.
