Online poker players will have something to look forward to in the New Year when 888poker kicks off the XL Blizzard tournament series next month. From January 18th to the 28th, the online poker room will be offering a total of 34 events in several formats, each providing nice guaranteed prize pools.
The full schedule of events has yet to be revealed but 888poker has provided a little information via their online magazine. Such events as the $80,000 Opening Event, the $50,000 Crazy 8 and the $250,000 High Roller are not to be missed. The schedule also includes the Main Event, which will offer up $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize money.
XL Blizzard Tournaments – $1 Million Cash Prize
888poker will also be providing qualifiers, so players can earn their way into events at a much lower rate. On top of that, 888 is offering eligible players a huge cash prize to vie for. Any eligible player who wins five or more XL Blizzard tournaments will be given a $1 million cash prize. This is of course a hard feat to overcome but it can be done! Any player who wins four tournaments will be provided $100,000 in prize money and three wins will earn an additional $10,000. Two timers will earn $1,000 in cash.
On top of that, 888poker is providing players who make three or more final tables in the tournaments of XL Blizzard a $600 tournament ticket. Finishing eight times or more in the money will provide the skilled players with a $215 tournament ticket.
The full schedule of events plus the freebies on offer for finishing well are just two of several reasons why players will be trying their hand at the tournaments on offer during the XL Blizzard. The tournament series begins next month, so there is plenty of time to find qualifiers online and hopefully win a seat to one or more tournament events.
