The PokerGO Tour Studios at the Aria Las Vegas have been extremely busy in 2024, and that was the case again this past weekend. The 2024 PGT PLO Series took place this time, and a familiar name came up with a massive win.

Daniel Negreanu has won six bracelets on the World Series of Poker, and he has also won the World Poker Tour two times. He was battling it out with 117 other players in this main event, and the Hall of Fame player was able to come away with a win.

For those that follow live poker action, 2023 was a year in which Negreanu lost $2.2 million in live poker games. The star poker player decided that he would enter fewer tournaments in 2024, which has allowed him to cash in with some bigger wins.

Negreanu took home more than $147,000 with the win in this event, which has pushed his career winnings to more than $51 million. There are only six other players with more career winnings, and Negreanu could be on a path to winning more this year.

Not only has he been coming away with a ton of big wins this year, but he has also been at the final table eight times so far. He also cashed in with a huge win at the PGT Last Chance Series in early January.

Final Standing

When looking at the final standings, some other notable names made it to the final table. While Negreanu was able to take home the big prize and valuable Card Player Player of the Year points, other players cashed in as well.

Here is a look at some of the other players who finished strong at the final table at this event.

  • Daniel Negreanu $147,500
  • Anuj Agarwal $91,450
  • Bruno Furth $64,900
  • Curtis Muller $50,150
  • Dylan Weisman $38,350
  • Lance Patel $29,500

Bruno Furth and Dylan Weisman are notable players on this list, as both have succeeded in 2024. Weisman has been racking up the Player of the Year points in 2024, but he came up a bit short this time.

Action Was Fast

There have been a ton of great poker events that have spanned multiple days in 2024, but it wasn’t the case with this event. The top players had to play at least two full days of poker action, but the eliminations were coming quickly.

Negreanu had the hip lead for much of the action, and that allowed him to dictate how the final table would be played. Other players were forced to be aggressive to keep pace, but Negreanu was able to sniff out those attempts.

Agarwal was starting to make some progress at the final table, but he misread his hand and went all in while Negreanu had Ace, King, and Queen, and that was all she wrote in this event.
