Great Poker Action Coming to BetMGM

BetMGM online casino has launched a new poker event to attract a wide range of players online. This brand-new poker series is open to players in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, and all players will be competing in their state. 

March Poker Mania has begun at BetMGM Casino, and there will be close to $1 million handed out between the three states. A guaranteed prize pool of at least $300,000 will be available in each state, with players in New Jersey having a chance to win an even bigger pool of money. 

Of course, BetMGM is playing off of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament with this new series, and there will even be some basketball-themed prizes handed out. The winning player will take home a basketball jersey in the tournaments with a basketball word in the title. 

There will be 26 different events played over the next week, as the action will wrap up on March 17th. Most of the tournaments will be no-limit hold ’em, but there will be some other formats played.

A Massive Main Event

The Mania Finals will happen on March 17th, and this event will be offered in all three states. $50,000 is the guaranteed prize at this main event, and the buy-in will only be $500. 

The total prize pool can always increase based on the number of participants for each event, and the Mania Finals are expected to be popular. BetMGM continues to be one of the biggest names in this industry, and it ties sports betting and online casino gambling together. 

Since the New Jersey pool is supposed to be bigger, BetMGM has already announced that the pools will be slightly bigger in each event. That doesn’t mean that the action in Michigan and Pennsylvania won’t be terrific, as those states are also known for online poker.

There were already seven events through the first two days of this series, but there is still time to get in on the action. BetMGM has a complete list of games featured on the website, as well as some bonuses and promotions. 

Shared Pools Coming Soon

BetMGM is keeping things separate between the three states for this event, but that will likely be different in the future. This operator has hinted at creating a shared pool between Michigan and New Jersey, as those two states are currently in the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement. 

There is still some time for Pennsylvania to sign the agreement, which could happen before BetMGM rolls this plan out. Not only will this lead to a bigger pool of money, but it will also create extra competition. 

Other states with online poker could also be looking to join the multi-state agreement, but BetMGM would also have to apply for a license.
