Niklas Astedt Wins Two Major Poker Tournaments on Sunday

PokerStars held several exciting poker tournaments on Sunday.

Niklas “Lena900” Astedt was in great form as he won the $1,050 Sunday Supersonic and $5,200 Titans Event. Still, he finished second in the $1,050 High Roller.

Astedt Bags the $1,050 Sunday Supersonic

The $1,050 Sunday Supersonic had a 39-entries field and a $39,618 prize pool. Still, Astedt won $15,544, the largest share in the pool.

After finishing fifth, the five leading finalists shared the pot as Vojta “vojta555cz” Skalak got $2,859.

Peter “Blebacsi” Traply exited the tournament in fourth position with $4,366. Zerodada followed him in third place with $6,667.

Their exit set up heads-up action between Astedt and Stumpfed. Astedt beat his opponent and took home $15,544. Stumpfed finished second with a $10,180 consolation prize.

Astedt Extends His Amazing Run in the $5,200 Pokerstars Titans Event

The $5,200 Titans Event attracted 68 talented players from different countries, including Astedt. They bought in and created a $340,000 prize pool. But, only nine finalists got a share of the pool, each receiving at least $10,000.

Talal “raidalot” Shakerchi left the table in the ninth position. Marius “DEX888” Gierse exited in eighth place with $12,135, Ognyan “cocojamb0” Dimov in seventh place with $16,202, and Sumpfed in sixth with $21,632.

Yuri Dzivielevski’s run ended in fourth place. Christian “WATnlos” Rudolph finished third with $51,482, setting up a heads-up battle between SerVlaMin and Astedt.

The latter is known for his expertise in heads-up matches, as he rarely loses. He sent SerVlaMin packing in the second position with $68,735, and he won $91,769.

Oskar Massesson Wins the $1,050 PartyPoker Grand Event

Oskar beat Tomi Brouk in the $1,050 Grand to win $15,514. The tournament had 75 entrants who formed a $76,400 prize pool.

Some of the players who reached the final table included Ioannis Angelou-Konstas, Jonathan Proudfoot, Patrick Lauber, and Juan Carlos Vecino.

Simon Mattsson exited the tournament in third place with $8,511 and got its last four-figure payout. Massesson and Brouk’s heads-up match thrilled many poker fans as they made a deal to end the tournament, each winning over $15,000.
