The online poker brand was going to be offering a new event in the Bahamas in 2019, right before the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship will have a $25,000 buy-in and offer a ton of cash up for grabs!
300 Prize Packages Titled Platinum Passes
While $25,000 buy-in events are always on offer, this one by PokerStars will be different. To begin, PokerStars will be offering more than 300 prize packages to players titled Platinum Passes. Each pass will be worth $30,000, which will cover the buy-in plus travel and hotel expenses. By the end of 2018, PokerStars will have pushed $8 million into the prize pool of the event. On top of that, when the event begins on January 6th, 2019, an additional $1 million will be added to go to the first-place winner.
In total, PokerStars will be providing $9 million in prize money for the event. This new tournament is set to be a big draw for players from around the world. With PokerStars offering the Platinum Passes, players will be able to compete in live tournaments and online in the hopes of taking part.
